My wife, Linda (Roll ’87), and I live in Claremont.  Linda also teaches kindergarten in Claremont, and is an avid blogger.  We have two sons who attend APU. It is so interesting and exciting to watch them experience college life at our beloved APU! Not to mention the late night trips to Donut Man!

Having been in alumni relations for 20 years, I am passionate about helping alums connect with their alma mater and connecting current students to alumni.   As APU continues to grow through God’s blessing, we desire for our alumni to be involved in that growth and blessing.  Please pray for APU, and consider your involvement in alumni events and local chapters.

My wife, Heather, and I live in Alta Loma. Heather works for San Antonio Community Hospital as a physical therapist assistant. I am a 1983 alumnus of APU and went on to receive my M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1988. I completed my Master of Arts in Human and Organizational Development through APU's School of Business and Management in 2003. I have been on staff at APU since 1990, working in various positions: director of the Institute for Outreach Ministries for nine years; assistant director of the Office of University Advancement for a year; and came to the Office of Alumni Relations in February of 2001. I am an ordained elder in the American Baptist Church and serve as a reserve chaplain in the United States Air Force. I have four daughters: Jackie, Jessica, Jennifer, and Makenna; and a son, Connor.

It is truly amazing to work in the alumni office and have the opportunity to connect with alumni across the globe, from teachers and pastors, members of the armed forces and business professionals, nurses and more, our alumni are serving in amazing settings, bringing the light of Christ to our world. Share your stories with us – we want to hear from you! Come visit the campus – if it’s been awhile, drop by for a campus tour and go to chapel or a class! Send us your students – alumni are our best recruiters for undergraduate, degree completion, and graduate programs. Pray for us and let us pray for you. As APU continues to grow we remain centered upon God First and our cornerstones of Christ, Community, Service and Scholarship. Hope to see you soon on campus or at an alumni gathering.

During my time as a student at APU, I discovered God’s call on my life, found my husband, and received an outstanding education. A year after graduation, my husband, Dan (’01), and I (’01) got married and moved to Diamond Bar.  I have used my B.A. in Youth Ministry over the past several years doing all sorts of youth ministry in the area.  Dan teaches music at California High School in Whittier and leads worship at our church.  In my free time, I enjoy singing with my husband, leading youth mission trips overseas, and baking specialty cakes.

I am truly grateful for the role APU has played in my life.  I am thrilled to be back on campus as Alumni Staff, assisting with events to keep the alumni community at APU strong and growing.  Alumni or student, please feel free to drop by our office anytime to say hello!  We are here to serve you!

I ensure that alumni, students, and visitors have a pleasant experience when contacting the Office of Alumni Relations, and also help find answers to their questions. I assist the alumni staff with events and projects and run the daily operations of the alumni office.

I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance.  In my four years as a student, I was actively involved in various ensembles in the music department and also participated in theatre.  I worked as the student receptionist in the Athletics Department as well as with sports information for 3 years, and enjoyed being a part of what goes on “behind the scenes” at APU.  After many months away from the university, I have returned to help other APU alumni stay connected to this wonderful place where so many memories have been made.  It is great to be back on campus and once again involved in what God has planned for this institution and those who have graduated from it.
