Cougars Get Defensive
Sometimes the best defense is, well, a great defense. The NAIA’s No. 7-ranked Azusa Pacific shut down the high-powered offense of Fresno Pacific, handing the Sunbirds their first shutout of the season with a 2-0 decision Wednesday night at Ramirez Field, site of the upcoming 2009 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship.  Click here for full article.

APU Honors Students Who Model Servant Leadership
The 2008-09 Servant Leadership Award recipients were honored at the seventh annual Servant Leadership Award Luncheon. The event, held at Il Forno, a local Italian restaurant, brought the award recipients, thefaculty and staff who nominated them, and their parents together for the presentation of the awards.  Click here for full article.

Campus to honor veterans in fourth annual celebration
Hundreds of students, staff members and community residents are expected to attend the fourth annual “Veterans Salute” scheduled for Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Mall.  Citrus College, the Associated Students of Citrus College, Azusa Pacific University and the City of Glendora are co-sponsoring the event, which was initiated in 2006 by Bruce Solheim.  Click here for the full article.
